Hello Benjamin, thank you for your pictures. What speakers and electronics do you have installed in your home cinema, and why did you choose this setup?
My home cinema setup consists of a 21:9 Phillips 56PFL9954 TV, the Onkyo TX-NR3010 receiver, and a 5.2 speaker system from the nuVero series. Specifically, the speakers in white are:
- Front: 2x nuVero 14
- Center: 1x nuVero 70
- Rear: 2x nuVero 3
- Subwoofer: 2x nuVero AW-17
I chose this setup mainly to enjoy high-quality sound in both home cinema and stereo modes. I was particularly convinced by this combination during SACD or Audio-DVD playback (stereo and multichannel). Not only at high volume levels but also at low volumes, you can experience clear and detailed sound. The nuVero 14 also provides sufficient depth in stereo mode, which was also essential to me.
What makes the fascination of home cinema for you?
The fascination of home cinema, for me, lies in having control over the movie itself and the volume at which I can enjoy films. The thrill in the stomach that one experiences with low frequencies from live concerts can be elicited at home with this setup.
Which movie or series should one definitely not miss?
There are countless movies that a home cinema fan should see. Focusing on sound, which is now personally more important to me than the image, I would exemplify films from Marvel's Avengers series.
My longest movie marathon lasted a good 11 hours when, on the release day of the third part of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, a friend and I watched the first two parts in the extended version before seeing the premiere in the cinema.
