Active speakers for the finest audio quality

For many people, music is part of their daily life. They use it to get into the right mood when they get up in the morning, to clear their heads during their lunch break or to round off the evening with a suitable background music. To enjoy the full sound spectrum, choose our active speakers that reproduce the sound faithfully.

What are active speakers?

Thanks to speakers, you can hear your favourite songs or the sound in movies and video games in the highest quality. Gone are the days when the bass sounded muffled and everything strangely squeezed. Speakers bring out the best in audio.

Active speakers are a 2-in-1 solution, so to speak, in which an amplifier is already built in. Consequently, you don't need a separate device that you have to connect in between. Instead, you have various connections for your TV, CD player or console directly on your models. Some active speakers support Bluetooth, so you can conveniently stream your music from your laptop or smartphone.

At Nubert, we use digital amplifiers and digital signal processors (DSP) that make the sound even richer. This immerses you deeper into the action. At the same time, you can adjust the sound to your wishes using various controls.

In contrast, there are passive speakers that require an additional amplifier so that the speakers can process the auditory signal.

The right active speakers for your home

Our powered speakers come in a variety of styles, so you can find the one that fits your décor. From speaker pairs to soundbars, you have a wide range to choose from.

  • Bookshelf speakers: These compact powerhouses are perfect for smaller rooms. Thanks to their size, you can place them anywhere, for example on a sideboard or bookshelf.
  • Floor-standing speakers: Active floor-standing speakers make optimal use of their shape. In contrast to other devices, they have a higher volume, which has a positive effect on the sound experience. In addition, there are usually more drivers installed, which means that all frequencies are reproduced.
  • Soundbars: Soundbars are becoming more and more common, especially among film lovers. These slim models are active speakers for the TV and provide a first-class sound experience. Don't let their size fool you.

The right location for your active speakers

For a loudspeaker to develop its full potential, it needs the right location. Even a high-end model is of little use to your music enjoyment if you bury it between furniture or position it at an unsuitable height. To find the perfect place for your speakers, there are a few basic aspects you should pay attention to:

  • When playing music, a so-called stereo triangle is created. The two active speakers are positioned at a 60° angle to the listener, so that together they form an equilateral triangle. This arrangement produces the finest stereo sound. Keep the arrangement in mind when you align your speakers.
  • For an enhanced listening experience, place the speakers at the level of your ears Keep in mind that you enjoy music mostly while sitting down.
  • The distance to the wall affects the sound reproduction, as the walls reflect the sound waves and thus distribute them in the room. Therefore, ensure a certain distance to all walls and try out the sound quality before finally placing the units.

Test the placement of your active speakers before you install them permanently to achieve the best sound effect. The two speakers should have equal distances to the side and rear walls so that the sound is evenly distributed.
