Hello Marc, thank you for your pictures.

Why did you choose this setup?

The fascination with Nubert arose when I first had the chance to listen to Nubert speakers at the 'High End' event at the Mövenpick Hotel in Regensdorf. From then on, my 'speaker family' grew a bit more each time. The remaining components were developed in combination and coordination with F. Shahlawandian from R-T-F-S. He assisted me in the planning around the existing Nubert speakers and, after the construction was complete, came by to make the acoustic fine-tuning and perfection.

What fascinates you about home cinema?

Aside from the actual movies or series, which captivate, puzzle, make you laugh, scare you, or even make you cry in various ways, it's the immersion in another world for me. The image contributes, but especially the perfect sound plays a crucial role. This is why I chose Nubert and the other components for my home cinema. I can't say it's just for one reason; it's the harmonious interplay of all components. Watching a movie or series without high-end sound is only moderately enjoyable for me, and conversely, perfect sound doesn't truly satisfy if the visual material isn't captivating. My affinity for sound originally came from my father, who, in my early years, primarily listened to the band 'Queen' on his self-assembled stereo system. From music, I transitioned towards movies with surround sound with the advent of DVDs. Initially, in my childhood room with my first 5.1 setup, it evolved to 7.1, then 9.1, and in my current home cinema, which took me a year to build, a 7.4.1 system is in use. Due to my three children, time doesn't allow for as many cinema nights, but when I find the time, I'm always fascinated and wear a delighted smile if a sonic fireworks display enchants me throughout the entire film, keeping me glued.

Which film or series should not be missed?

Restricting to just one is really difficult, but for me, the series True Detective is one of them.
My longest movie marathon lasted around 9 hours.
