Please read and follow the safety instructions below for your own safety and to avoid unnecessary damage to your device.

Do not remove the rear cover of the television

Warning:

If you open or remove the rear cover of the device, there is a risk of electric shock and serious injury due to high voltages. Never open the rear cover yourself. Have repairs and maintenance on your television carried out only by qualified, authorized TV technicians. Please contact your dealer or our customer service.

Intended use and environmental conditions

This television is intended only for receiving and playing back audio and video signals. The television was designed for use in dry indoor rooms (living and office spaces). It must not be used in rooms with high humidity (e.g., bathroom, sauna) or outdoors. High humidity and dust accumulation inside the device lead to performance loss. This can cause a risk of injury and/or damage to the device due to electrical voltages or fire. If you have moved the device from a cold to a warm environment, leave it switched off for one hour, as condensation may have formed. Do not place any objects filled with liquid on the television. Protect the device from dripping and splashing water. Always keep candles and other open flames away from the device to prevent fire from spreading. All materials used in this device comply with legal requirements. However, it cannot be ruled out that materials may leave residues on the contact surface. Therefore, avoid prolonged contact between food and the television.

Transport

Improper handling during transport can damage the display and cause a risk of injury. The screen is made of glass or plastic and may break if handled incorrectly. At least two people are required to transport the television. The device may only be transported in a vertical position. Do not apply pressure to the glass or plastic during transport. Proper unpacking of the television is shown in operating manual 1. To avoid damaging the mechanical structure of the television and the stand, remove the television from the stand and move both parts separately. At least two people are required for assembly when setting up the television at its new location.

Mains cable / Power supply

Unplug the power cable immediately if you notice anything unusual or if the device repeatedly malfunctions. An incorrect power supply voltage can damage the device. This television may only be connected to the mains supply using the power cable included in the delivery—make sure the voltage and frequency match the information on the type plate. The mains plug must always be easily accessible so that the device can be disconnected from the power supply at any time. When unplugging, do not pull on the cable but on the plug housing. Otherwise, the cables in the mains plug could be damaged and cause a short circuit when plugged in again. A power cable with damaged insulation can cause an electric shock and poses a fire hazard. Never use a damaged power cable. If you connect the television to a multi-socket outlet, do not daisy-chain multiple multi-socket outlets.

Air circulation and high temperatures

Like any other electronic device, your television must be cooled by air. If air circulation is impaired, a fire may occur. Do not block the ventilation slots on the rear of the device. Please do not cover the television. A. Table/stand: Leave at least 10 cm of free space around the device at the sides and above. B. Wall mounting: Leave at least 10 cm of free space around the device at the sides, above, below, and behind.

Foreign objects

If foreign objects enter the device, this can lead to short circuits and fires. There is a risk of injury and damage. Therefore, make sure that no metal parts, needles, paper clips, liquids, wax, or similar objects can get inside the television through the ventilation slots on the rear of the device. If a foreign object enters the inside of the device, unplug the television immediately and inform customer service so that the device can be inspected.

Installation

A television may fall over and cause serious injury or death. Many injuries, especially to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions, such as:

  • ALWAYS use racks, stands, or mounting methods recommended by the television manufacturer;
  • ALWAYS use only furniture that provides a safe support surface for the television;
  • ALWAYS ensure that the television does not protrude over the edge of the support surface;
  • ALWAYS educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television or its controls;
  • ALWAYS route the connection leads and cables connected to the television so that they cannot be loosened, pulled, or grabbed;
  • NEVER place the television in an unstable location;
  • NEVER place the television on tall furniture (e.g., kitchen cupboard or bookcase) without anchoring both the furniture and the television to a suitable support;
  • NEVER place textiles or other materials between the television and the furniture;
  • NEVER place objects such as toys or remote controls on top of the television or on the furniture on which the television stands, which could tempt children to climb.

If you plan to relocate the existing television, the same safety considerations should apply. Loewe televisions are designed for Loewe accessories. We strongly recommend using original Loewe installation solutions. Please observe the mounting instructions for the various installation options. The corresponding instructions are included with every Loewe product. Please adhere to the normal operating position of the television. The TV set may only be operated in a horizontal, upright position A. For wall mounting, the tilt must not exceed 10 degrees B. The television must never be operated in portrait orientation C, lying horizontally D, or mounted horizontally on the ceiling E. Place the television in a location where it is not exposed to direct sunlight or additional heating from radiators. If you use accessories from third-party manufacturers, please ensure that the television can be easily adapted to the respective installation solution. When adapting the television, make sure that the pressure on the device frame is not too great. Otherwise, especially with large-format displays, the display may be damaged. If you mount the television on a VESA-standard bracket, the Loewe VESA adapter bolts must be used without exception. Otherwise, damage to the television may result. The Loewe VESA adapter bolts must be tightened with a torque of approx. 4 Nm. These are available from your Loewe specialist dealer (further information can be found in the online user manual). Make sure that after unpacking and setting up the television, children do not play with the packaging material. Please also observe the disposal instructions for the packaging and cardboard (see Disposal).

Supervision

The television must not be operated by unsupervised children—also ensure that children do not play in the immediate vicinity of the television. They could knock over or move the television or pull it down from its support surface, which can cause personal injury. Do not leave the television unattended when it is switched on.

Volume

Loud music can cause hearing damage. Avoid extreme volume levels, especially over long periods and when using headphones.

Thunderstorms

An electrical overvoltage caused by lightning can damage the device via both the antenna system and the power supply. During a thunderstorm, unplug the mains plug and disconnect all connected antenna cables from the television. If you have connected a network cable to the LAN port, you should unplug it as well. If you are away for a longer period, you should also unplug the mains plug from the socket and disconnect all connected antenna cables from the television.

Cleaning and care / Chemicals

Disconnect the television from the power supply before cleaning. Damage caused by chemicals can have undesirable effects and lead to the development of fire. Never expose the television and accessories to aggressive (e.g., caustic) chemicals such as alkalis or acids. Clean the television, the display screen, and the remote control only with a damp, soft, clean, color-neutral cloth, and never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. Speakers with metal surfaces: For cleaning metal speaker surfaces, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture gets into the speaker openings, and do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the surface. Speakers with fabric covers: For speaker grilles on your television that are covered with fabric, vacuum the surface regularly using a soft brush attachment. For dirt or stains: Moisten a soft, color-neutral cloth with cleaning solution or a commercially available stain remover and gently rub the stain away. You can also treat the stain directly with a commercial dry stain-remover spray (vacuum up the dust). Do not moisten the fabric cover directly with detergent or stain remover (there is a risk of circular stains forming). Do not clean the fabric with solvents. If you use stain removers, follow the manufacturer’s instructions. When cleaning speaker grilles that have come into contact with nicotine, there is an increased risk of circular stains forming.
