  1. Read Instructions - Carefully read all safety and operating instructions before using the device.
  2. Keep Instructions - Retain the safety and operating instructions for future reference.
  3. Observe Warnings - Follow all warnings on the device and in the operating manual.
  4. Follow Instructions - Adhere to all instructions for operating and using the device.
  5. Cleaning – Unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaning agents or aerosol cleaners. Clean only with a damp cloth.
  6. Connections - Do not use connections that are not recommended by the manufacturer. They may pose hazards.
  7. Water and Moisture - Do not use this device near water, such as near a bathtub, washbasin, sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
  8. Accessories - Do not place this device on unstable carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables. If the device falls, it could cause serious injury to children or adults and may be seriously damaged. Use only carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the device. Any mounting of the device should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
  9. If the device is placed on a cart, move the cart carefully. Sudden stops, excessive force, and uneven floors may cause the cart and device to tip over.
  10. Ventilation - Slots and openings in the housing are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation and prevent overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. Do not place the device on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may obstruct the openings. The device should not be installed in a built-in unit such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided and the manufacturer's instructions are followed.
  11. Power Supply - This device must only be operated from power sources specified on the label of the device. If you are unsure of your home's power supply, consult your dealer or local power company. As a precaution, unplug the power cord from the outlet when disconnecting the amplifier from the power supply. Ensure that the power plug remains accessible. If the device is not used for several months, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  12. Grounding or Polarization - This device is equipped with a polarized AC plug (one blade is wider than the other). The plug fits into the outlet only one way as a safety feature. If you cannot fully insert the plug, try reversing it. If the plug still does not fit, contact an electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
  13. Power Cord Protection - Route power cords so they are not likely to be stepped on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to cords near plugs, convenience receptacles, and where they exit the device.
  14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outdoor antenna or cable system is connected to the device, ensure that the antenna or cable system is grounded to provide protection against voltage surges and static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information on proper grounding of the antenna mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, the size of the grounding conductors, the location of the antenna discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode.

NOTICE FOR CABLE TV SYSTEM INSTALLERS

We would like to draw the attention of cable TV system installers to Section 820-40 of the NEC, which provides guidelines for proper grounding and specifies that the cable ground should be connected to the building's grounding system as close to the cable entry point as possible.

  15. Lightning - For extra protection during a thunderstorm or when the device is left unattended for an extended period, unplug the power cord from the outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This helps protect the device from lightning or power surge damage.
  16. High-Voltage Power Lines - An outdoor antenna should not be installed near high-voltage power lines, electrical light lines, or other power circuits, nor in a location where it may fall onto such power lines. Extreme caution should be taken when installing an outdoor antenna to avoid touching high-voltage power lines, as contact with them can be fatal.
  17. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integrated multiple sockets. Risk of electric shock and fire.
  18. Entry of Foreign Objects and Liquids - Never insert any foreign objects through the openings in the casing. They may come into contact with hazardous voltage parts or cause a short circuit, which could result in fire or electric shock. Do not spill any liquid of any kind onto the device.

WARNING: THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE EXPOSED TO DRIPPING OR SPLASHING LIQUIDS, AND NO LIQUID-FILLED OBJECTS, SUCH AS VASES, SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE DEVICE. AS WITH ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES, ENSURE THAT NO LIQUIDS ARE SPILLED ON ANY PART OF THE DEVICE. LIQUIDS CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS AND/OR FIRE HAZARDS.

  19. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug the device’s power cord from the outlet and have it serviced by qualified personnel if:
    1. The power cord or plug is damaged.
    2. Liquid has been spilled into the device or foreign objects have fallen inside.
    3. The device has been exposed to rain or water.
    4. The device does not operate normally even after following the operating instructions. Only adjust controls specified in the user manual. Incorrect adjustments may lead to damage and often require extensive repairs by a qualified technician to restore normal operation.
    5. The device has been dropped or damaged in any way.
    6. The device exhibits noticeable changes in performance, which may indicate a need for repair or maintenance.
  20. Replacement Parts - If replacement parts are needed, ensure that the service technician uses original replacement parts from the manufacturer or parts with the same specifications as the originals. Unauthorized replacements may cause fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
  21. Safety Check - After servicing or repairs, ask the technician to perform a safety check to confirm that the device is in proper working condition.
  22. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The device should only be mounted on a wall or ceiling in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  23. Heat - Do not install the device near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing equipment (including amplifiers).
  24. WARNING

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THE DEVICE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.

TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, THE PLUG MUST BE FULLY INSERTED INTO THE SOCKET WITH THE WIDE PRONG MATCHING THE WIDE SLOT.

When the power switch is in the ON position, the device draws the rated standby power from the outlet.

The power outlet should be installed near the device and easily accessible.

    CAUTION

Any modifications to this device that are not expressly approved by NAD Electronics may void the user's authority to operate the device.
