  • Make sure that no unintentional pulling on the cables can occur, to avoid tipping the speaker over or damaging the connection sockets!
  • Keep the speaker away from strong mechanical vibrations!

Attention!

Excessive heat build-up inside the device can shorten its lifespan or lead to fire

  • Never cover the rear of the speaker! Ensure at least 10 cm of free space and sufficient air circulation at the back!
  • Do not operate the speaker near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
  • Do not expose the speaker to direct sunlight!
  • Never place burning candles or similar open flames on the speaker

Risk of Explosion!

Placing the speaker in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the speaker

  • in fire- or explosion-prone environments!
  • at extremely low or extremely high temperatures!
  • near flammable gases or vapors!
  • in areas with heavy dust!
  • near easily flammable materials!

Risk of Electric Shock!

The speaker carries mains voltage inside and voltages above 35 V AC or DC in some areas. It has no special protection against the ingress of liquids or objects. There is a risk of fatal electric shock

  • Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
  • Use the speaker only in a dry location!
  • Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
  • The speaker must be protected from all kinds of liquids, including dripping and splashing water.
  • Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., flower vases) on or near the speaker!

  • If the speaker has come into contact with liquids or objects have entered the interior, immediately unplug the power cord and contact Nubert electronic GmbH (info@nubert.de)

Risk of Injury or Damage!

Applies to speakers with threaded inserts on the bottom of the housing: The threaded inserts on the bottom of the housing may only be used to mount the supplied speaker feet! They are not designed to bear tension and must not be used as holders for hooks or similar for hanging the speaker. A falling speaker can cause serious injury and damage.

Connection Instructions

General Connection Instructions

Unplug the power cord before making any wiring changes to the system!

  • Make sure all connections are properly made and all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets before connecting the speaker to the mains!
  • Use only the designated cables or connectors for the connections! Otherwise, damage or malfunction may occur.
  • When disconnecting cables from the speaker, always pull the plug, never the cable!
  • Ensure a secure fit of all plugs in their sockets!
  • Use only cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!

Risk of Electric Shock!

Electric shocks may occur due to faulty power supply systems or excessive mains voltage

  • All power supply or antenna systems connected to the speaker must comply with the applicable legal regulations and be professionally installed by a licensed installer.
  • Use only the supplied power cord to connect the speaker. The power cord and plug must not be modified under any circumstances.
  • Ensure that the mains voltage at your location matches the speaker's requirements! The correct power supply is indicated on the label on the back of the speaker. It must not be connected to other power sources.
  • Class 1 devices must be connected to the protective earth conductor of the electrical installation, which is at earth potential. Ensure the protective earth installation at the connection site is properly executed!
  • When laying the power cables, ensure they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heat or mechanical stress)! Pay special attention to plug and distribution areas.

Warning!

Power surges in the electrical system (e.g., due to lightning strikes) can damage or destroy the device and power supply

  • A surge protection device can offer some protection against excessively high voltages in the power grid.
  • The greatest protection against damage is complete disconnection of your devices from the power and antenna systems. Therefore, during thunderstorms or risk of lightning strikes, unplug the power cord and any antenna connectors from your hi-fi system!
  • If the speaker is not used for an extended period or is left unattended, the power supply should be interrupted. Unplug the power cord from the socket!

Care and Cleaning Tips

Warning!

Improper handling of the speaker may cause damage.

  • Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the speaker!
  • Before recommissioning, ensure all connections are correct, no short circuits are present, and the speaker is completely dry.
  • Never use harsh cleaning or solvent agents such as gasoline, alcohol, or similar!

Housing

We recommend using standard glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This allows for easy removal of almost all fingerprints and dirt. Alternatively, you can also use active foam window cleaner. We advise against using microfiber cloths! These may cause micro-scratches on the surface.

Membranes and Speaker Chassis

To remove dust from a speaker chassis, a lint-free cotton cloth is sufficient. Lightly wipe the membrane with very gentle pressure.
