The next chapter

Since 1991, we have been on a mission: hi-fi stereo sound for everyone. With the A1, we have expanded our product range to include the AUTOMAT line— turntables that operate automatically and without any loss of sound quality.

Our automatic drive is handmade in Germany, and assembled in Czechia by true professionals. This technology brings the unmistakable Pro-Ject sound into the living rooms of music lovers in the top quality segment. The success of the A1 has inspired us to go one step further: Welcome A1.2! With an updated drive and platter.

The success of the A1 inspired us to go one step further: Welcome to the A1.2! With an updated drive and turntable.

AUTOMAT technology

One push of a button is all it takes to start the tone arm. During playback, the automatic mechanism is disconnected – no electronics interfere with the pure sound.

Heavy wooden housing

The solid wood chassis minimizes resonance and shields the A1.2 from external influences.

Feet with silicone damping

The special feet decouple the turntable from the surface and ensure interference-free vinyl enjoyment.

Ultra-light mass aluminum tonearm

The 8.3" aluminum tonearm is light as a feather and, together with the Pick it MM E, offers impressive detail. Tracking force and anti-skating are preset – the A1.2 is ready to go in seconds. Carbon fiber reinforced headshell The carbon fiber reinforced headshell provides excellent rigidity and ensures that the tonearm remains perfectly aligned with the record groove.

Carbon fiber reinforced headshell

The new headshell made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer is super stable and lightweight, effectively dampening resonance.

New die-cast aluminum platter

The new die-cast turntable is CNC-milled and ensures perfect playback.

Speed, phono preamp, and cable

The electronically controlled motor conveniently switches between 33 and 45 rpm. The integrated phono preamp makes the A1.2 extremely versatile. The Connect it phono cable is asymmetrical, low-capacitance, and offers excellent shielding—unique in this price range.
