The trade magazine Audio-Test dedicates a detailed test to the new nuControl X in issue 8/2023. Thomas Kirsche draws the following conclusion:
"Nubert has achieved a real feat with the nuControl X streaming preamplifier. It brings analogue and digital together at an incredibly high level. It is also the ideal companion for wireless multiroom. It is also set up in such a way that beginners can get started straight away and technology nerds can lose themselves in the finest tuning options. It also sounds typical Nubert: phenomenally powerful and warm at the same time."
The editorial team then also honours the preamplifier as "reference class" and "innovation of the month"
