Active speakers with plenty of punch

Frédérick Heinz brought the smaller of the two compact models from our nuZeo series into the AUDIOstereoplay test lab for issue 05/2025. After an extensive evaluation, his enthusiastic conclusion is:

„Mit der nuZeo 3 ist hervorragendes Downsizing gelungen. Natürlich geht sie nicht ganz so tief in den Bass wie die größeren Modelle, aber sonst teilt sie alle Tugenden der Referenzserie. Für Bassfetischisten lohnen sich die 900 Euro Aufpreis für die nuZeo 4, alle anderen können getrost zur nuZeo 3 greifen.“

[Loose translation: The nuZeo 3 is an excellent example of successful downsizing. Of course, it doesn’t reach quite as deep in the bass as the larger models, but otherwise it shares all the virtues of the reference series. For bass enthusiasts, the €900 surcharge for the nuZeo 4 is worthwhile; everyone else can confidently go for the nuZeo 3.

PROS & CONS:

     + great, deep, and clean bass
     + very good highs
     + extremely neutral and well-balanced
     + excellent build quality
     - no HDMI input
