Hello Christian, thank you for your pictures. What speakers and electronics do you have installed in your home cinema, and why did you choose this setup?

The system consists of an Onkyo TX-8211, two nuBox 300 speakers, and a nuBox AW-441 subwoofer. The system has evolved over the years. It started in my teenage years with speakers, followed by the amplifier, and then, with my first salary, I got the subwoofer.

I am attached to each individual part, and everything still works flawlessly. Granted, 2.1 might not be high-performance, but since we mainly listen to music, it's sufficient for us. Additionally, my wife doesn't like cable clutter and doesn't want more speakers, so the path to expansion is (still) blocked for me. :-(

What fascinates you about home cinema?

Getting comfortable, maybe under a blanket, putting your feet up, and enjoying a good movie with excellent picture and sound, perhaps on a chilly autumn day with the rain tapping on the windows - what could be better? I love enjoying my home cinema with my wife. However, we also go to the cinema regularly.

Which movie and series should one definitely not miss?

A very tough question. If I look into the recent past, Top Gun Maverick is high on my list.
