Our Questions for Dietrich S. on Home Cinema Weeks:

Hello Dietrich, thank you for your pictures. We'd like to get to know you a bit better; could you tell us about the speakers and electronics you chose? What were your reasons?

When my system (still from my school days) gave up the ghost, I was looking for a successor with a good price-performance ratio and came across Nubert through various forums, which was completely unknown to me until then. At that time, the nuPro A-600 was on offer, and since genuine music enjoyment can only be achieved with stereo, I got two right away. The outstanding sound quality, versatile connectivity, and easy installation (active speakers, all-in-one) were perfect for my needs. What was still missing was the right "oomph" to not only hear but also feel the sound. Due to the aesthetics, connectivity, and power reserves, I chose the nuSub XW-900, which even exceeded my expectations. After moving to a larger apartment and acquiring a bigger sofa, I unfortunately noticed that the deep tones varied significantly depending on where you were in the room. Some forum searches and calls to the Nubert hotline later, I found the solution: a second subwoofer of the same type, which, with the right phase setting, almost completely eliminated the "bass holes." Now, everyone on the sofa had the same listening experience. Similarly, significant improvement came from the absorbers under each subwoofer. The bass has become much smoother and more even. The calibration with the Nubert X-Remote app provided the finishing touch.

What fascinates you about home cinema?

You determine the pace yourself, can start/pause anytime, adjust the light and sound, and always grab your favorite sweets or drinks.

Which movie and series should one definitely not miss?

The movie "Pulp Fiction" and the series "Rick and Morty."

Thank you for the interview.
