Our questions to Robert K. about Home Cinema Weeks:
Hello Robert, thank you very much for your pictures. Which speakers and electronics do you have installed in your home cinema, and why did you choose this particular setup?
As part of a redesign of the living room, I also re-conceptualized the home cinema and replaced the 7.1 base set from another manufacturer. The goal was to significantly improve the sound of the home cinema without allowing the technical audio components to visually dominate the living room too much. In this regard, I arrived at a solution with Nubert that is satisfying for the whole family:
- Main speakers nuLine 264: visually in walnut and very elegant with a height of 15cm, not too conspicuous. The bass foundation is so solid that we no longer need a subwoofer and save space. The overall sound is very balanced and makes many pieces of music shine in a new sound.
- Center speaker nuLine CS-64: integrates perfectly in white and a height of 12cm into our sideboard. Despite the somewhat intricate installation and therefore not ideal placement, the sound is impressive: you can follow dialogues very well even at a distance of 5m. The sound image is surprisingly powerful.
- Rear wall speakers nuBoxx BF-10: with a depth of only 8cm in gray, they inconspicuously join the wall behind our sofa. What is very convincing: even though we sit relatively close to the wall and thus as listeners are at a very sharp angle to the speaker, the sound image is still very perceptible. A Yamaha RX-A880 AV receiver is used as an amplifier, which works well and cooperates seamlessly with the speakers.
What makes the fascination of home cinema for you?
You can perfectly unwind and immerse yourself in the film at home on the sofa without necessarily having to go to the cinema.
Which movie or series should one definitely not miss?
There are (too) many well-made films with exciting stories. In the context of home cinema, I would like to mention something less noticeable: the series "Merz gegen Merz" - very entertaining and always intertwined with beautiful musical pieces that, on a home cinema system, provide a beautiful spatial contrast to preceding dialogues.
