Safety Instructions for Handling the Power Adapter

The power adapter may only be connected to a mains voltage of 100–240 V~, 50/60 Hz. Never operate the power adapter with a different voltage.

• Only use the supplied power adapter.
• Connect the power adapter only after the installation has been completed correctly.
• Only connect the device to a properly installed and grounded mains socket. The mains voltage must match the specifications stated on the device's rating plate.
• The power outlet should be located as close as possible to the device.
• Avoid using multiple socket outlets. Ensure that the power cord and plug are always easily accessible so that the device can be quickly disconnected from the power supply.
• Route the power cord in such a way that nobody can trip over it.
• Insert the power adapter fully into the power outlet.
• Do not touch the power adapter with wet hands; risk of electric shock.
• If the power adapter is defective or if the device shows any other signs of damage, it must not be operated.
• Do not unplug the power adapter by pulling on the cable.
• The device remains connected to the mains supply even when switched off. Unplug the power adapter from the outlet if the device will not be used for an extended period of time.
• In the event of malfunctions or if smoke or unusual odors are emitted from the housing, immediately unplug the power adapter from the outlet.

Safety Instructions for Installing the Device

• To prevent the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the device to rain or any other form of moisture.
• Do not operate the device near bathtubs, swimming pools, or splashing water.
• Do not place any open sources of fire on the device (e.g. burning candles).
• Do not place any containers filled with liquid on the device (e.g. flower vases). These may tip over, and the spilled liquid may cause significant damage or create a risk of electric shock.
• Foreign objects must not enter the interior of the device (e.g. needles, coins, etc.).
• If foreign objects or liquids enter the device, immediately unplug the power plug from the outlet. Have the device inspected by qualified service personnel before using it again. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.

Safety Instructions for Operating the Device

• Do not listen to music at high volume levels. This may result in permanent hearing damage.
• This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or with a lack of experience and/or knowledge. Exception: Such persons may use the device if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from that person on how to use the device.
• Never allow children to use this device without supervision.
• Do not touch the connection contacts with metal objects or your fingers. This may result in short circuits.

Safety Instructions for Repair and Maintenance

• Repairs and maintenance work may only be carried out by customer service personnel or by qualified personnel authorized by the manufacturer. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user.
• Never attempt to repair a defective device yourself. Always contact one of our customer service centers.
• Under no circumstances should the device be opened. This may only be carried out by customer service personnel or by qualified personnel authorized by the manufacturer. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
• Modifications to the device are prohibited.
• Damaged devices or damaged accessories must no longer be used.
• Only cleaning agents specifically intended for this purpose (antistatic) may be used to clean the device and vinyl records. These are available from specialist accessory retailers.

Intended Use

This device is designed for playing vinyl records. It is intended for private use and is not suitable for commercial applications. Any other use is considered improper and may result in property damage or even personal injury. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use. Read the operating instructions carefully before using the device for the first time. Only then can all functions be used safely and reliably. Keep the operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any future owner.
