:p Hello

I have upgraded my old 5.1 set with a Center Nubox CS - 411. My expectations were not disappointed. The sound is really great. Nubert has gained a new clientele.
I will also be replacing the other speakers as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the Nubert team - perfect service from the first phone call to the order and delivery.

Best regards from Austria and keep up the good work!!!!!!

PS: I bought 2nd choice, but have not yet found the alleged scratch.

As an extremely satisfied new Nubert customer and buyer of a nuBox 5.1 combination, I would like to express my enthusiasm about this company in this forum.

I was most impressed by the service, especially the friendliness and competence I received on the hotline (I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Bühler):
The acoustic characteristics of my living room and my requirements resulted in a few failed attempts at selecting front speakers. Returning partial shipments was no problem at all, and one order was delivered promptly within two days.
My repeated calls to the hotline resulted each time in very helpful advice in which my problems were taken admirably seriously.

I opted for a mixture of the old and new nuBox series (AW 880, 2 * 580, CS 411, 2 * DS 301), which is connected to a Denon AVR 3805 with DVD 3910. In my opinion, the sound quality both as a stereo and as a surround system cannot be beaten for this overall price.
Although the AW 880 subwoofer requires tolerant neighbors in an old building, its sound quality is beyond reproach and at the end of 2006 it was simply unbeatable value for money. The decision for the CS 411 center speaker, which ensures excellent speech intelligibility at all volume levels, was also very easy.
As a surround speaker, a direct radiator (e.g. 311) sounded more transparent to my ears with an SACD, but I preferred the unobtrusive dipole because of the cinematic use.
The decision in favor of a front speaker ended with a trial of almost the entire nuBox series (the 681 would have been my dream, but unfortunately it doesn't fit under the screen): The 311 and the 511 are rather softly tuned in the treble range; the latter, however, sounds much rounder, resolves very well, produces quite rich bass and elicited a 'That's pretty' from my wife. The 381 and the 481 are quite similar: clear trebles and ? surprisingly ? voluminous in the 381. Finally, I hit the bull's eye by getting hold of one of the last pairs of 580s, which resolve masterfully and conjure up a clear and bass-rich stereo sound.

The sound of all the speakers has developed considerably over time, so it makes sense to make the most of the four-week test phase. Not only did the tweeter seem to have to reach room temperature at first, the bass also became increasingly powerful ? perhaps the ears also needed their time.

I bought the Nubox311 (stereo) plus AW441 subwoofer on Dec. 28.
Immediately set up. I am completely thrilled.
Super sound, mercilessly good bass, deep and clean. The mids and highs are also great. I'm now a big fan of Nubert.
The feet were missing from the AW441 package. I called once and the feet were sent to me very kindly and naturally by post, arrived within 2 days 😬
Last weekend, an acquaintance brought his DIY loudspeakers along to compare them. Great parts (the material costs of his 2-way speaker alone were more than the total price of my entire purchase). Sound excellent, nice resolution of voices, precise and analytical.
And the 311 with AW441? A little less centered and super sound, the low bass of course unbeatable. In direct comparison, his speaker was only slightly more analytical, otherwise everything was at least as great or better.
What more could I want? I think the parts are really super duper.
I can only recommend everyone to go to Nubert and listen to it there.
Yes, we were in Schwäbisch Gmünd and were able to listen to the CDs we had brought with us for an hour without any time pressure, even though the store was very busy...
So I'm completely satisfied... :p

Comment on the comment by Dr. Wilfried E.:

I would like to agree with you 100%.
I too was initially overwhelmed by the size of the nuLine 120 and not 100% convinced by the "sound" (the loudspeaker is not actually sounded!).
However, this was only true for the first 2-3 days. I was still in the middle of the stress of the current week, briefly played 2-3 CDs and was... not disappointed but not convinced either.
However, I also approached the tests extremely critically.
I let the speakers play for 3 days, then listened to them again at the weekend after a rest:
WAHNSINN!
Once you've understood what this speaker is capable of, take your time with the set-up, especially the "turning in" of the speakers towards the listener, etc., then one AHA experience after another follows...
I've had the 120 for about a year now and every time I turn on my stereo system I have a feeling of deep satisfaction and the certainty that I've made the absolutely right decision.
CONCLUSION:
Give the speakers and yourself the time you simply need to recognize whether the speaker fits or doesn't fit. And how good the speaker really is. This should apply to any loudspeaker, but is especially true for (absolute) top-of-the-range speakers.
Especially as you still have the familiar "sound" of the "old" speakers in your ears for days (which may have bent the frequency response quite badly, which is why you may be "surprised" by the "honest" playing of the Nuberts at the beginning... and then realize what has been missing so far, or what has been "swallowed").
The 4-week return policy is more than helpful. I already knew after 1 week: I'm not giving it back!

On January 20, 2007, I made a long-cherished plan come true and drove to Nubert in Schwäbisch Gmünd. I have to say: great. I was able to listen to the loudspeakers in complete peace and quiet with 4 CDs I had brought with me containing a wide variety of music. I decided on the nuLine 80. Even at home, the speakers sound amazing. Wow.
I was particularly impressed by the unobtrusive but always present and competent service. That's a contrast to the big electrical stores that couldn't be sharper. The service was also customer-oriented to the extent that I never had the impression that they were trying to coax a few more euros out of me by recommending more expensive or additional components.
So thank you, and keep up the good work!

After purchasing the nuWave 35 incl. ATM for my "second listening room" almost 2 years ago and being very happy with these speakers from the very beginning (see my entry here in the guestbook dated 05.03.05), I was now ready for another speaker replacement. After the excellent listening experience with the nuWave 35, the quality and the service at Nubert, it was clear to me that it should be a Nubert speaker again. In addition, I find the philosophy and transparency of this manufacturer, i.e. the corporate culture that can be felt by the customer, quite outstanding. And of course, reviews in the Nubert forum and in test magazines also played a role in my decision. After some consideration, I opted for the nuLine 120 in beech finish with ATM. I listen almost exclusively to classical music and jazz in stereo and use the speakers with ARCAM equipment, FMJ series: Player CD 33, Pre-Amp C 30, Power-Amp P 35. The telephone advice prior to the purchase regarding technical questions and the shipping process (fixed delivery date) was again excellent ? thank you very much! After the speakers had arrived on time and I had unpacked these heavyweight pieces of furniture with some effort, I was initially impressed by the impeccable workmanship and the simple, elegant design. Then I provisionally connected the speakers to the system, popped a very well-recorded CD into the player ? and was somewhat disappointed. Before the nuLine 120, I had quite good floorstanding speakers, but they were getting on in years. So I asked myself whether the increase in sound experience, which initially seemed comparatively small, would justify the expense of the new purchase. The sheer size of these speakers also irritated me somewhat. I reassured myself with the four-week right of return granted by Nubert. Over the next few days, I devoted myself to setting up and aligning the speakers as precisely as possible, whereby the documented instructions and texts from Nubert were very helpful. I also experimented with the rear switches for adjusting the bass and treble as well as the ATM. Since then, I've listened to a lot of music of different styles, slowly approaching the speakers and taking the time to get to know them in detail. The bass power of the nuLine 120 is certainly exorbitant and can be heard and felt wonderfully in some jazz or organ recordings. But what has gradually impressed me even more is the absolutely detailed fine detail of the musical events, the stage structure, the staggering of the instruments and the human voice in the room, the precision and clarity, the fullness and balance of the melodious sound and the controlled power of this loudspeaker where necessary. After a week of testing, I can only conclude: The Nubert team has developed and produced an exceptionally good and ?honest? The Nubert team has developed and produced an exceptionally good and ?honest? sound transducer, which is also characterized by an unrivalled price-performance ratio. Whether playing symphonies or chamber music, masses or cantatas, piano or cello solos ? my initial skepticism has given way to great enthusiasm for this loudspeaker. I occasionally use the ATM module to correct recording qualities that are not quite optimal or for very quiet listening. So as not to repeat all the positive things that have been said and written here and elsewhere about this speaker, I would just like to pay the Nubert team a huge compliment for this product, the service and the handling of my order. And I can wholeheartedly recommend any serious music lover to give this speaker a listen! For example, with the 'Missa Salisburgensis', Musica Antiqua Köln (SACD/CD) or with the live recording 'Without a Song' by old master Sonny Rollins (CD).
