The Dolby company has been developing technologies in the audio and video sector since the 1960s. Well-known are, for example, the earlier noise reduction processes for compact cassettes (Dolby A, B, C, S and HX) as well as the multi-channel sound formats Dolby Surround or Dolby Atmos.
