HybridDigital™ Purifi Eigentakt™ Amplifier

Purifi is a Danish technology company founded by leading engineers in the hi-fi industry, aiming to identify and eliminate the remaining limitations of digital amplifier technology. The current result of their work is the Purifi Eigentakt™ amplifier, which NAD was the first to license and has so far exclusively implemented in the BluOS streaming amplifier M33 and the stereo power amplifier C298.

The Purifi Eigentakt™ technology delivers extremely low intermodulation distortion, a remarkably low total harmonic distortion of just 0.0007% across the entire frequency and power range, and minimal self-noise.

A key breakthrough in the development of Eigentakt™ was the discovery of a memory effect in the output filter components of the amplifier. This phenomenon, known as hysteresis, can lead to audible quality losses in conventional digital amplifiers. Through output stage modifications and intelligent Eigentakt algorithms, Purifi was able to drastically reduce hysteresis effects.

Another advantage of Eigentakt™ power stages is their complete immunity to varying speaker loads. Their extremely low output impedance leads to a very high damping factor, resulting in clean, tightly controlled bass reproduction.

Digital Technologies

With its efficient switch-mode power supplies and Class-D output stages that operate linearly over a wide bandwidth and maintain consistent performance across all speaker loads, the M23 far surpasses the quality of traditional, power-hungry linear power supplies and inefficient Class-A/B output stages. Flexible Applications

The NAD power amplifier is an ideal partner for any high-quality stereo preamplifier or hi-fi component with adjustable stereo preamp outputs, such as CD players or music streamers.

Owners of the NAD M33 streaming amplifier can expand their system to deliver 2 x 700 watts of continuous power by bridging the M33 to drive one stereo channel and the M23 (also bridged) to drive the other.

Balanced Signal Transmission

In recording studios and professional sound reinforcement, balanced signal transmission is the gold standard. It uses two conductors to transmit audio signals, preventing interference even over long cable runs. In addition to gold-plated RCA jacks, the M23 features balanced XLR inputs to ensure noise-free, interference-resistant signal transmission.

The M23 also offers three-stage adjustable input sensitivity, a 12V trigger input for automatic switching with compatible control systems, and auto-power-on when an audio signal is detected. A grounding terminal helps eliminate ground loops and hum in multi-amp setups.

High-Quality Aluminum Chassis

The NAD M23 features a meticulously engineered, elegant aluminum enclosure. Inside, sturdy panels and magnetic Iso-Point feet provide a solid foundation for its multilayer circuit boards and sophisticated internal layout.

Despite the complex interior, the exterior remains understated. The thick front panel, top cover, and rigid chassis feature the signature two-tone black-and-silver finish of the NAD Masters Series.
