nuOva tweeter
In the nuLine 284, the tweeter takes over at a crossover frequency of 2,150 Hz. The nuOva tweeter is a sophisticated high-tech component optimised to minimise resonances. This is primarily achieved through its damped rear chamber, which ensures that resonances decay very quickly. Your benefit: more detail and clear music reproduction.
Midrange driver
The midrange driver of the nuLine 284 integrates seamlessly with the tweeter, operating from 450 Hz to 2,150 Hz. Its compact, flat diaphragm combines detailed midrange reproduction with uniform dispersion. Another major benefit is the way it works with the tweeter, whose performance is further enhanced by the nearly flush surfaces. Your benefit: impressive vocal reproduction with precise imaging.
Woofer
The woofer of the nuLine 284 reproduces the bass frequencies in music or films, reducing the load on the midrange driver. Long-excursion technology combined with a bass reflex port allows the speaker to reach a lower cutoff frequency of 33 Hz at nearly full output. Your benefit: controlled, linear bass reproduction at all volume levels.
Crossover
The crossover is the control centre and heart of the nuLine 284. Durable components ensure accurate reproduction and linear sound for decades. The switches on the rear act directly on the crossover, allowing seamless switching between direct and dipole modes. The crossover also features self-resetting fuses that protect the drivers from overload.
Colours and design
Our nuLine series features high-quality lacquer finishes in Black, White and Cappuccino, applied in multiple layers and repeatedly sanded to achieve a flawless finish with softly rounded edges.
Clean lines and gently rounded contours give the nuLine models a timeless elegance. Acoustic considerations are also central to the design process: slightly rounded edges reduce edge diffraction, as does the asymmetrical positioning of the tweeters. The carefully engineered metal grille complements this design and has a barely measurable effect on the sound.
