Uncompromisingly complete – the plug-and-play entry into true balanced!
The Pro-Ject X2 brought the high standards expected of a high-end turntable within reachable price ranges. The joy of fine details, build quality, and high-quality materials has remained the same with the X2. The satin acrylic turntable, three exclusive lacquer finishes, and the silk matt waxed walnut veneer underline its elegant appearance.
The X2 B, with its mounted and adjusted Ortofon MC Quintet Red cartridge, enables a decisive improvement in sound quality. It represents the entry point into the True Balanced connection variant in the Pro-Ject portfolio. In combination with a symmetrical cable that consistently separates the four signal-carrying wires and the shielding, and a suitable phono preamplifier, every record lover can benefit from the advantages of a balanced connection. In combination with a balanced cable that consistently separates the four signal-carrying wires and the shielding, and a matching phono preamplifier, every record lover benefits from fully balanced signal transmission, a higher signal-to-noise ratio, and crystal-clear vinyl sound. The electronic speed selection is a convenient feature when switching between 33 and 45 rpm.

The heavy, dense, and rigid MDF housing reduces unwanted resonances to nearly immeasurable levels. Inside is a sophisticated DC/AC motor control system that, in combination with the electronic speed switch, delivers clean and stable power to the motor system. The conical tonearm tube of the X2 B's extended tonearm has a larger diameter and is made of a carbon fiber/aluminum composite material with optimal damping properties.
The conical tonearm tube of the X2 B's extended tonearm has a larger diameter and is made of a carbon fiber/aluminum composite material with optimal damping properties. This achieves high rigidity and impressive low resonance. The high-quality tonearm bearings compensate for the higher mass of the arm and allow the arm to move with almost no mechanical resistance. The cabling is consistently symmetrical with complete ground isolation. The cabling is consistently symmetrical with complete separation of signal-carrying conductors and shielding. An Ortofon MC Quintet Red MC cartridge is mounted and adjusted ready to play.
An Ortofon MC Quintet Red MC cartridge is installed and adjusted ready to play. This enables a true balanced connection ex works, for example with the Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E Mini-XLR cable and the Pro-Ject Phono Box S3 B preamplifier.
