Hello dear Nubert team,

I've been using my 5.1 set for about 4 weeks now and I'm really satisfied all round. The sound is brilliant and the workmanship is TOP. As a total novice with the Marantz 5005, setting it up was frustrating for me for the first few minutes because I wanted to get started straight away, but after a few days everything was perfectly tuned =).

The only drawback:

I got a speeding ticket in my car on the way to the listening test. Cost 150 euros and 3 points. But at least I've now got a souvenir photo of this lovely day, so somehow it's not a drawback after all 😬

Many thanks again to Florian for his detailed and competent advice.

Best regards from Ingolstadt,
Thomas

Hello dear Nubi team,

Unfortunately I have to get rid of something critical. I ordered the Nucable Audio 8 RCA cables. The cables are nice, but they are not the same length in all packs (differences in centimeters). Especially for audiophile freaks (of which I am not one when it comes to cables), this should no longer happen in this price category. Manufacturing with millimeter precision should always be possible, even with a supplied component.

I come from the quality management sector and know what I'm talking about.

Best regards,

Christian

Dear Nubert team,

I also have to get something off my chest.

My curious impatience was put to the test for three weeks, as the body of the NuBox481 I ordered was only rebuilt last week, which was clear from the outset.
But the wait was worth it: after listening extensively to the speakers, which are now connected to Marantz components, I am really, really satisfied. My couch vibrates when I (and the neighbors 🙂 ) want it to; the highs (switch setting: brilliant) are clear but not annoying, the voices are present and guitar pickings are audible.
The exterior is also exactly what I wanted: Simple, but very sensibly finished.

The only "shortcoming", which you have already "warned" about: The speakers are actually very honest. In my case, this means that some productions, which I really didn't expect, fall off sharply and some things offer completely new sound perspectives. Some numbers gave me a real sonic high that made me gulp and grin happily.

Thank you very much!

And one day in the distant future, when the good God of money lets it rain, I will embark on the experiment "What's possible with _even_ better speakers?"... 😉

Greetings from Cologne,
Conny P.

Dear Mr. Siegle (Nubert),

I am now back in France, have reintegrated the repaired subwoofer into the hi-fi system and tried it out yesterday evening.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and Nubert for the excellent after-sales support.

The subwoofer works perfectly and even the humming noise when switching the power on/off is now gone.

The service you have offered here is probably unparalleled in the industry. I can't even remember when I received such a great service! It must have been a very long time ago. It's just great that something like this still exists.

It also reinforces my very positive attitude towards your company. In addition to the subwoofer that I use myself, I bought a set of your nuboxes for a friend in Golfe Juan a few months ago. I feel very encouraged to recommend Nubert to others and will be happy to do so again.

Thank you very much for your support with this repair! The fact is, after this visit your company has been upgraded to the highest level of recommendation.

And regarding the sale of hi-fi loudspeakers via the internet - the purchase for my friend here in France also went very smoothly. The speakers are super nice, integrate perfectly into his home and sound absolutely great for the price. It doesn't get any better than this. Lots of good sound for a fair price.

I received my new 681s last week. Here are my first impressions:

When the UPS man arrived with the first parcel, I thought to myself: uff, they look as big as I thought they would. So off to the floor with the 2 x 40kg.

The visual impression (much is a matter of taste):
-the cover doesn't work at all
-the fastening of the cover looks rather simple
-the front lamination doesn't look bad, but is (as expected) very sensitive
-the other laminations unfortunately don't look particularly high-quality, but are more robust
-the screw terminals are not connected with the metal bridges that are
The screw terminals are not connected with the metal bridges shown everywhere, but with short pieces of cable. This is certainly not a technical issue, but it doesn't look particularly elegant - a pity - the nuCables make a good quality impression

first test listening:
Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack: wow, what a richness of sound, what dynamics
best of Björk: uuuaaaa, what a deep bass
Katie Melua: close your eyes and you think you're standing in front of the stage
Black eyed Peas - track Boom, boom, pow: the heaviest bass of various frequencies

Overall impression:
-the workmanship is top
-I don't think the materials (side lamination and cover) are optimal
-the sound is absolutely top and offers a lot of reserves
-the performance of the speakers cannot be fully utilized in our current living room (35m2)

Conclusion: great speakers, good buy. At some point I will upgrade the system to a 5.1 system and I am sure that the result will be top again!

I ordered from Nubert again :-). I think this was the 5th time in the last 1.5 years, this time it was a pair of Nubox 381 2nd choice in walnut. I called on Thursday 7.4.2011 around 17:00 and they were there by Saturday lunchtime. It couldn't have worked any faster, great service from Nubert, as always :-).

This morning I screwed the 381s to the wall in the party room, wired them up to my Kenwood KA7020, put a CD in, great sound, just as I'm used to from Nubert speakers, excellent interaction with this amplifier, even party volume is no problem with these great speakers. I played several CDs in a row at a higher volume to get used to the sound, but it actually sounds very good from the very first note.
The 381s produce very decent bass and super-resolved mids and highs, if you put in the right music, the sound from the speakers is just as good as with my 681 in the living room, the 381 is not even that much lower in bass pressure than the 681, amazing for such a shelf speaker, you can really let the 381 crack, just like its big sister, simply another technical masterpiece from NSF, thumbs up.

I now have a small collection of Nuboxes at home. The 681/DS301/CS411 in the living room on the Onkyo 707, a pair of second choice 311s in the kitchen on the Onkyo 308, also great sound with the 311s, and now most recently the pair of 381s.

Nubert is simply addictive :-), great, sonically outstanding products, even in the cheaper entry-level range, plus the best service, that's simply unbeatable.

What can I say, buying speakers by mail order, relying on test reports and in the back of my mind the certainty that I already had really good speakers and systems, I had my doubts. For reasons of space, it had to be a compact speaker, and for financial reasons, it had to be an affordable speaker that was an all-rounder. I chose the 381s, the shipping was incredibly fast and the packaging was exemplary, with very useful information material enclosed.
Unpacked, I was presented with an unexpected appearance, cleanly finished and incredibly high-quality, connected and standing on stands, I first gave the 381s an unrated break-in period.
Listening test... My favorite CDs were ready (Kraftwerk, Yello, U2, Depeche Mode to name but a few) and I was really impressed from the very first bar. A well-balanced dynamic sound image, I adopt Nubert's statement... Honest loudspeakers that offer great spatiality and, if need be, deliver levels that are second to none,.....Wow!!!!!
Nothing more needs to be said about these loudspeakers, you should hear and see them!

Report Nubert nuVero 14 in mocha
Previous story:
I was the proud owner of the Infinity 9A.
In my opinion, the Infinity are very close to the reference class and for little money (approx. 1700-2500? depending on condition) as used speakers!
As we wanted to change, mainly ME in terms of electronics and my wife in terms of the room, we needed something new. But what? The market was sounded out. When I went to various studios and listened to a few things, I was disappointed. None of the speakers I heard even came close to the sound I was used to. What to do? I searched the WWW and came across the NUBERT website by chance.
I called them, asked them to explain the process and ordered the Nubert nuVero 14 in mocha.
They arrived four days later. Carefully in pairs, they were unpacked, assembled, positioned and connected. After acclimatization, the time had come. I pressed the on buttons on my amplifier/CD player. CD Millenium ? Exist was inserted and I could already guess what the speakers would do. The nuVero14 worked relaxed/precise and unagitated.
A CD marathon began. Then came the disillusionment, the treble was not as good as I was used to! The CD Moonrise - Lights Of A Distance Bay sounded so lost! Basses without end, mids clear and distinct, but no/hardly any treble. What was going on? I took out the description and read it. Oops, the nuVero 14 had various (3) switches on each speaker to adjust the sound! With the switches for bass/midrange/tweeter it actually worked. But unfortunately not with the desired success. They played too much in the background for me.
If you like NEO prog like I do, you know exactly what I mean! Because it's not just bass/mids and a few hi-hats, no, there's more going on in the treble range. So what to do? I called Nubert and explained my problem. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Nubert staff, who always took all the time in the world to find solutions. After a few minutes of conversation, the employee came up with the idea that I should test the ATM module! He explained it to me and I ordered it. Two days later it arrived and I installed it in my system. It was all very simple.
I pressed all the on switches again and put the Moonrise CD back in. This little miracle thing does a lot, but unfortunately not everything. OK, the treble was much better now, but not like with the Infinity's. This is clearly the weak point of the nuVero 14. What I have to mention, however, is that the nuVero 14 doesn't have any treble, no, it doesn't. It plays the subtle tones too much in the background. Of course, the recording of the CD is very important. The nuVero 14 mercilessly exposes a bad recording.
My conclusion nuVero 14:
The nuVero14 is a great speaker that can convince in terms of sound, if you are not Infinity-impaired like me. The bass is so precise and deep that I now have no ants, mice or anything else under my house. They've all moved away due to the risk of earthquakes.
The mids are clear and distinct and reproduce everything. For me, the highs play too much in the background and you have to concentrate on them or get used to them.
If Nubert manages to get the treble range as precise as with the Infinity 9A (which really plays EVERYTHING in the treble range, whether loud or quiet), then I would say the reference class is cracked.
It only gets better with the ATM module, which disappoints me a little with such a speaker.
Optics:
The design is really successful. The sound sail fits in perfectly with the overall look and the arrangement of the drivers does its job. A complete gloss finish would be nice!
ATM module nuVero 14
For me, this thing is a small miracle. It works on the principle of a loudness button and makes the nuVero 14 almost a reference speaker. It's just a shame that such a loudspeaker needs something like this, so it clearly gets a minus point

After testing the Nuvero 4, which I didn't like at all visually and acoustically reproduced the music genres and sources I listened to a little too mercilessly, I decided on the nuline 32.
After several weeks of listening at different locations in the room, I added speaker stands.
I was amazed at the improvement in sound quality that resulted from this setup and am now very satisfied with the speakers.
Even if one would perhaps prefer to have compact speakers standing inconspicuously on a shelf... The nuline 32s sound much better standing free!

Many thanks for the tip. Of course, we already know about the test and will soon be adding information about it to our test overview. (a bit stressful at the moment...)
