Unequal battle - NuBox 310 vs. Analogon Mini-Monitor
Now that my 20-year-old Analogon Mini-Monitor from Leo Kirchner, Hifi-Manufaktur Braunschweig, is getting a bit long in the tooth, I needed something new - starting small with the NuBox 310.
The reigning champion:
The Mini-Monitor is a 25 liter two-way bass reflex speaker and has a 20 Seas bass with aluminum basket, polypropylene cone and inverse surround. The tweeter is from Eton, 25 mm fabric dome tweeter with very low resonance. The speaker sounds very dynamic and analytical, making the listener literally wince at loud impulses, but unfortunately has some slight coloration in the fundamental range, although this is only rarely noticeable. This is just the typical sound behavior of bass-midrange speakers with a polypropylene cone.
Strengths:
Fast impulses, drums, tenor saxophone, spatial imaging.
Weaknesses: Vocals.
The challenger:
NuBox 310. According to the description in this forum, miracles are supposed to be possible with the smallest Nubert box. Just order it, if it doesn't fit you have 4 weeks right of return.
However, the 310 is not even half the size of the Mini-Monitor, but is in the same price category (taking inflation into account).
So, the 310s arrived in the post, unpacked (thanks for the Nubi!), first impression:
Heavy, well made, pleasantly simple design (black 310s). Plugged in, let it play for 2 hours with the radio blaring. Subwoofer (Visaton W300s beaten by the Thommessen Proteus 2.5) off!
Annie Lennox enters the room, quite credible and lively, but a little sharp and slightly hoarse. First measure:
Set the treble switch to "Linear", it was better straight away. A well-balanced reproduction.
Old master Prince gets a right turn from me on the
Rotel preamplifier. My old speaker had more efficiency, i.e. it is louder. Nevertheless, the Tron follower comes across quite well, but the high frequency impulses in "Tamborine" don't shock as much as from the Mini-Monitor, but Annie Lennox was less "nasty" via the Nubox before.
Now another level test. Mike Oldfield "Crisis" with plenty of excess electrons from the Elektor "Crecendo" MosFet power amplifier.
It's amazing how the little Nuberts work so hard! My wife
comes up to the music room, it's too loud for her (2 floors down!).
The drums are banging and the electric guitars are screaming, just as they should be without overloading. Top! The Nuberts are really level-proof, no discussion.
However, the spatial imaging via my old speakers is one size bigger, no wonder, as they have a 20 cm bass instead of a 14 cm, which the 310 has.
Conclusion:
Nubert can leave out the treble switch on the 310.
Strengths of the 310: Balanced, linear reproduction, quite neutral,
definitely really good for classical music. Very small speaker for inconspicuous placement if the lady of the house doesn't want anything the size of a washing machine in the living room. Enormous level stability
with surprisingly deep bass for its size. Incredibly good value for money.
Weaknesses: Less fast with impulses. The efficiency is not bad, due to the complex crossover, but could be better.
My personal result: 3 to 1 for the Analogon Mini-Monitor
1:0 Impulse reproduction
2:0 Spatial imaging
3:0 Efficiency
3:1 Neutrality, linearity
The comparison test was of course somewhat unfair because the small Nubert had to compete with the much larger and already "audiophile" Analogon Mini-Monitor. From this point of view, the Nubert did very well. Incidentally, it also harmonized better with my subwoofer than my old speakers. Perhaps this is due to room effects.
The old master is also the new master, but it can't rest on its laurels. I'm now swapping the NuBox 310 for the NuWave 35, so the result will probably be different. I'm looking forward to it and will report back.
Greetings to all Nuberts, G.Hartwig, Braunschweig

Once again I am extremely impressed by Nubert products, even if this time it's not about loudspeakers.
I have been using the ATM 120 together with my large floorstanding speakers, which are not from Nubert, for a few weeks now.
The purpose of the exercise: I want to use the sound balance as a treble control.
I can only say that it works wonderfully. At last I have an external treble control that really deserves its name! Everything sounds much more natural than with the "bathtub cuts" of conventional treble controls. Now I can vary the sound of my system continuously between "rich" and "brilliant" depending on the music material.
Simply great!
A super product that you won't find anywhere else!

Hello Nubert, hello Mr. Reichelt,
Thank you very much for the excellent advice and detailed listening demonstration at your premises.
2x NuLine 30, 2x DS 50, 1x CS 40 and the AW 560 sub is excellent.
Also and especially the decision for the AW 560 was exactly right because of the super advice.
(My wife thanks you for it! ('😉')
)
Unfortunately, the remote control didn't work with the sub, but one call to the free hotline and the next day a replacement
for the defective receiver! That's how it should work and that's what the customer does... ('😂')
!
Thank you until the next time in Schwäbisch Gmünd,
Wolfgang Jung

Hello Mr. Lothar Schneider, thank you again for the great advice. The best I've had in a long time. That's how advice should be everywhere. Always competent and not intrusive. Keep up the good work. I'm already looking forward to the next time. 😬

Dear Mr. Schneider,
As a customer who wanted to buy a pair of NuLine30, I am always grateful for good service. Service begins with a direct approach to the customer.
My customer question was which NuBox would fit my Marantz SR4400. The answer:
This is an entry-level device! Thank you H. Schneider, that's what I call advice. Well, if I'm an entry-level device owner, I must assume that I'm not the right customer for NuBoxes. You have to be in the premium upper-super-gold class to get advice from Nubert or H. Schneider. Maybe then you can also buy one or two NuBoxes,
if things go well ... but only then!
Too bad, I was expecting better service and advice than at the competition.
But as a beginner .... hmmmm... a real shame.
Keep up the good advice 😉

Hello everyone,
We would now like to make a comment after 4 weeks. Our choice fell on the Nubert NuLine 30 compact speaker Exclusiv High Gloss Black in combination with the Nubert ATM-30 module.
We are extremely satisfied with this purchase.
This combination leaves nothing to be desired, whether classical or
pop and rock.
We would particularly like to emphasize the extremely competent and friendly employee, Mr. Jörg Reichelt.
He responded to all our questions and was able to answer them with highly gratifying expertise.
If Germany is a service desert, then Nubert is the oasis.
Greetings and thanks from Oppelsbohm

It's maddening!!! Unbelievable!!!
I've had my nuWave 35 for 2 weeks now!!! 😂
To all the Prince fans out there!!!
You won't believe what you'll discover on your old Prince records!!! The subtleties you can still hear in his songs!!! Brilliant!!!
But all in all: a perfect sound for me!!! or does it get even better when 85 or more are connected!!! I would have the space!!! On the next vacation trip to the south a stopover must be made!!!
And to Stefan from Stuttgart, I absolutely agree!!! I listened to Beethoven's 6th at the weekend. A listening experience!!!
So I'm totally thrilled with the speakers!!!
And of course also the nubert team!!! Many thanks for the friendly telephone advice.
Greetings from Münster

Hello everyone!
For all those who still have doubts: I've had the nuWave 35 in my student room for a week now and since then I've hardly been able to get it out of my system!
Before that I already had very good compact loudspeakers from an audiophile company in Essen (multiple test winner etc.). There was actually no need for anything new...
But then (fortunately) I drove to Schwäbisch Gmünd (during the week at lunchtime, when there's not much going on) and treated myself to a detailed listening test.
First of all, praise to the Nubert team: friendly, competent and unobtrusive! Even after an hour in the listening room at brutal volume levels ;-) (Greetings to Marco Herter)
And the speakers?
nuBox 310: Very solid for the size! Almost magic with the ABL module.
nuBox 380: Powerful, clean, clear. In comparison, the speakers in the average German household sound like they were made yesterday.
nuWave 35: After some initial skepticism (530 euros is a considerable sum for a student), I decided to buy them.
Why? Quite simply because I have already had experience with loudspeakers of the same size that cost four times as much (the attentive test magazine reader knows the brands) ? the NuWave can hold its own in these areas. I won't repeat the usual superlatives to describe the sound: they simply all apply!
It's true: you can buy sound from the premium league for 530 euros/pair. Then you start sorting your CD collection into good and less good recordings ;-) You simply hear EVERYTHING.
And, Mr. Nubert: have you ever thought about the fact that you have actually solved an important social task? You are giving people (full) access to an important cultural asset who could not (previously) afford to fully enjoy classical music, for example.
Investing several thousand euros in good loudspeakers used to be the preserve of the very wealthy.
Thanks to them, many more people can now enjoy Beethoven the way he REALLY SOUNDS.
Greetings from Stuttgart!

The DS50s are good, but I still came home with 2x DS60s, why? Read on... .
I was in Aalen at the Hoerstudio and listened to the DS50 against the DS60. Some people will probably call me crazy, but the DS50 was just too pale and not present enough for me. Compared to the DS60, it took me 10 seconds to make up my mind. So, if you can afford it, then go for the DS60. The performance of this speaker is phenomenal.
I have to say that I already have the CS 70 as a center speaker and therefore have to demand something from the surround speakers as well. In this combination, the DS60 was simply much more harmonious, more present and clearer.
I immediately set up the speakers at home and it's true, Nubert is addictive. I immediately had to get a new DVD player because the old one was no longer up to the job. Now the whole thing has been given another boost.
I can only recommend everyone to go and listen to it.
I'm still missing 2x NuLine 80 or maybe 2x CS70 as front speakers, unfortunately something bigger won't fit where they're supposed to be.
I thought the NuLine 120 was brilliant, the NuLine 100 was awesome and the NuLine 80 is still great. I didn't have any CS70s available, the DS60 front speakers didn't build up enough pressure for me, despite the AW880.

Hello to the Nubert team,
I ordered 2 NuLine 120 + ATM on 9.10 after consulting with Mr. Steffen Härer and received the promise of delivery on 11.10. UPS was at the door on 11.10 at 15:00 with 2 huge and one small package sweating, the packaging is first class and when opening 🙂 , briefly set up for testing 🙂 , packed again 😭, and my TV hi-fi shelf rebuilt, after 2 days again the NuLine120 + ATM + new Vincent power amplifier to the already existing Aw880 + 3 x RS300 set up, and since this hour I have problems with my wife 😉 , **She also wants to listen to music**
Congratulations to the whole team for the excellent performance, from development to delivery
Greetings from LE/Vienna
