Hi everyone, I've owned the 660s for about a month now and I think they're the absolute bomb, whether it's Pink Floyd, Camel, folk, gothic, classical ... . Not a particularly informative article, but all the more enthusiastic. Greetings, Uwe

Hello dear Nubert team, dear readers,I've been the proud owner of the 360 for several years now. I now use it as a monitor for mixing and recording in my own home studio. I had actually only bought it for hi-fi listening. But when I heard it for the first time at home, I immediately decided to try it out as a studio monitor. And what can I say? Since then I've only listened to the 360, the eternal search for reasonable (price/performance) and neutral (sound) monitors has come to an end. For me, there's simply nothing better, the hymns of praise really aren't exaggerated. Herbert Muhr

'HAL! I also said that it could be because of my room. If the bass I hear is all that speakers costing 2,000 marks can deliver, then either I'm deaf or the bass response drops as the price goes up. I have tried to shift the blame from the speakers to the room: I listened to 2-way floorstanding speakers for 170 Marks each in a room with a tiled floor, no pitched roof and about 50 square meters. It was simply better than in my room. I could imagine that the speakers would sound better in a different room or produce more pressure in the bass range, but I have described MY experiences in MY room. If they could give me some tips, that wouldn't be bad either, but they have never listened to music in my room and therefore can't know how much (or how little) bass is in the air. -Martin Roderburg

Hello Martin! A 20sqm room can't be that bad that your 660s, which together have a bass cone of approx. 1.6sqm, don't produce any pressure! You describe a large cone excursion without any perceptible bass, so I suspect some kind of polarity reversal. If the polarity reversal is not in the left-right ratio, this is said to have happened internally in loudspeakers or power amplifiers, literally horses have already been seen........!

I'm sorry to have to criticize something, but that's what the guestbook is for. I think that the NuBox 660 has a very good sound. But unfortunately the bass range still lacks a bit of punch. I don't know whether this is due to the positioning of the speakers, the fact that I have a sloping roof in my room or the fact that I have a carpeted floor. I've got used to the fact that I have to turn the bass control 90 degrees to the right in order to get a normal sound, so that's probably down to the room. But even when the woofers are making big thumps, you can't really feel the bass. And that's with a room size of around 20 square meters. I know loudspeakers that work quite differently, but maybe it really is the room, I don't want to spread false information about the speakers. But unfortunately I have to tell you that I won't be buying any more Nubert speakers, because I need speakers that don't have a VERY GOOD sound, but rather a GOOD sound with more movement in the air. I've kept the Nubox 660s anyway, because the sound is simply creamy, but I'm going to get a powerful subwoofer to go with them. To make it clear once again: The NuBox 600s are not for people who need full bass pressure or want bass that makes the sofa shake.
