Before connecting and operating the device, thoroughly read the user manual, especially the safety instructions. For your own safety, follow all warnings and safety notes in this manual and on the speaker. Users should not perform any tasks on the speaker other than those described. Keep this document accessible at all times and pass it on to any future owners.

Intended Use

This speaker is intended exclusively for audio playback in dry indoor environments. Use the speaker only as described in this manual. Any other use (especially for safety-critical or medical applications, outdoor installation unless explicitly IP-certified) is considered improper and may result in property damage or personal injury. Nubert electronic GmbH accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.

General Notes

Never operate the speaker unattended!

Risk of Electric Shock!

To prevent the risk of electric shock, the speaker should not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Service and repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel authorized by Nubert. For service inquiries, contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de.

Risk of Suffocation!

Never allow children to use the speaker or remote control unattended, or play with the packaging! Children may become entangled in packaging film, posing a suffocation hazard. Ensure children cannot detach small parts from the devices, as these (including the remote control battery) may be swallowed and cause choking. If any parts are swallowed, seek medical attention immediately!

Risk of Injury or Damage!

Move the speaker with care to avoid injury or damage.

Caution!

The speaker can only be completely disconnected from the power supply via the power inlet on the back of the device or by unplugging the power cord. Ensure the speaker is positioned so that the power inlet or plug is easily accessible. If any of the following situations occur, immediately turn off the speaker and disconnect it from the power supply. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de:

• The speaker has been damaged or has fallen.
• The power cord or plug is damaged.
• Objects or liquids have entered the speaker.
• The speaker has been exposed to excessive moisture or rain.
• The speaker is not functioning properly or shows significant performance degradation.
• The speaker emits a burning smell, produces smoke, or makes unusual noises.

Only use accessories recommended by Nubert!

Placement Instructions

Caution!

An unstable placement can damage the speaker.

• Place the speaker only on a flat, stable surface, and ensure it cannot be knocked over.
• Prevent unintended tension on cables to avoid tipping the speaker or damaging the connection sockets.
• Avoid exposing the speaker to strong mechanical vibrations.

Caution!

Excessive heat buildup inside the device can shorten its lifespan or cause a fire.

• Never cover the back of the speaker! Ensure at least 10 cm of free space and adequate air circulation at the rear of the device.
• Do not operate the speaker near heat sources such as radiators or stoves.
• Avoid exposing the speaker to direct sunlight.
• Never place burning candles or similar open flames on the speaker.

Risk of Explosion!

Placing the speaker in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the speaker:

• in fire or explosion-prone environments!
• at extremely low or high temperatures!
• near flammable gases or vapors!
• in areas with heavy dust!
• near easily flammable materials!

Risk of Electric Shock!

The speaker operates with mains voltage internally, and some areas exceed 35 V AC or DC. It has no special protection against liquids or foreign objects entering the system, posing a risk of fatal electric shock:

• Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
• Use the speaker only in a dry environment!
• Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
• Protect the speaker from all types of liquids, including dripping or splashing water.
• Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., vases) on or near the speaker!
• If the speaker is brought from a cold environment into a warm room, condensation may form inside. Wait at least 6 hours before switching it on, allowing it to reach room temperature and dry completely!
• Avoid using the speaker during rapid temperature changes!
• Ensure no objects or foreign materials enter the device.
• If the speaker comes into contact with liquids or if foreign objects enter the interior, immediately unplug it and contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de!

Risk of Injury or Damage!

Applies to speakers with threaded sockets on the bottom of the housing: The threaded sockets on the bottom are only intended for mounting the supplied speaker feet! They are not designed for tensile loads and must not be used to attach hooks or similar items for hanging the speaker. A falling speaker can cause serious injuries and damage.

Connection Guidelines

General Connection Notes

Disconnect the power plug before making any changes to the system's wiring!

• Ensure all connections are made correctly and all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets before connecting the speaker to the power supply!
• Use only the designated cables or connectors for connections! Otherwise, damage or malfunctions may occur.
• When disconnecting cables from the speaker, always pull the plug, not the cable!
• Ensure all plugs fit securely into their sockets!
• Use only cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!

Risk of Electric Shock!

Faulty power supply systems or excessive voltage can result in electric shocks.

• All power supply or antenna systems connected to the speaker must comply with applicable legal regulations and be professionally installed by a certified technician.
• Only use the provided power cable to connect the speaker. Do not modify the power cable or its plug under any circumstances.
• Ensure the power voltage at your location matches the speaker's requirements! The correct power specification can be found on the label on the back of the speaker. Do not connect it to any other power source.
• Devices with Class 1 protection must be connected to the protective ground of the electrical installation. Ensure the protective ground connection at the installation site is correctly implemented!
• When routing power cables, ensure they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heat or mechanical stress). Pay particular attention to the areas around plugs and distributors.

Caution!

Power surges in the electrical grid (e.g., due to lightning strikes) can damage or destroy the device and its power supply.

• A surge protection device can provide some protection against excessive voltage.
• The highest level of safety can only be achieved by completely disconnecting your devices from the power grid and antenna systems. During thunderstorms or when there is a risk of lightning, unplug the power cable and disconnect any antenna cables from your HiFi system!
• If the speaker will not be used for an extended period or is left unattended, disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the power cord!

Care and Cleaning Tips

Caution!

Improper handling of the speaker can cause damage.

• Always unplug the speaker before cleaning!
• Before powering the speaker back on, ensure all connections are secure, there are no short circuits, and the speaker is completely dry.
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents like gasoline, alcohol, or similar substances!

Housing

We recommend using commercial glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This can easily remove most fingerprints and dirt. Alternatively, you can use window foam cleaner. Avoid using microfiber cloths, as they may cause micro-scratches on the surface.

Membranes and Speaker Chassis

To remove dust from a speaker chassis, use a lint-free cotton cloth and gently wipe the membrane with very light pressure.
