Dreischichtiger Plattenteller
Der Plattenspieler hat eine dreischichtige Konstruktion mit einem fest verbundenen Plattenteller aus Messing und Aluminiumdruckguss. Die gesamte Rückseite ist mit einem dämpfenden Gummi überzogen, um unnötige Resonanzen zu vermeiden und eine hohe Steifigkeit und Schwingungsdämpfung zu erreichen. Dies sorgt für eine gleichmäßige Rotationsstabilität und eine höhere Trägheitsmasse als beim SP-10MK2, dem von Rundfunkanstalten weltweit eingesetzten Standard-Direktantriebsplattenspieler, und eine mehr als doppelt so hohe Trägheitsmasse wie beim SL-1200MK5.
Balance auf hohem Niveau
Ungleiche Gewichtsverteilung auf dem Plattenteller erzeugt Vibrationen und Störsignale während der Rotation, die das Audiosignal beeinträchtigen. Deshalb wird der Plattenteller jedes einzelnen Geräts mithilfe spezieller, hochpräziser Vorrichtungen nach der Montage feingewuchtet. Erst danach erhält der Plattenspieler seine „Auszeichnung“: einen Aufkleber auf der Unterseite mit der Aufschrift "BALANCED“.
Dämpfungsfuß
Ein neu entwickelter Isolator aus Zink mit αGEL™-Gelmaterial bietet hervorragende Stoßdämpfung, sorgt für hohe Vibrationsdämpfung und minimiert Rückkopplungen.
Vierschichtige Chassiskonstruktion
Zur klassischen dreischichtigen Chassiskonstruktion des SL-1210Mk5 aus Aluminium-Druckguss, BMC und schwergewichtigem Kautschuk gesellt sich beim SL-1200G eine strichgeschliffene, 10 mm starke Deckplatte aus reinstem Aluminium. Diese vierschichtige Verbundkonstruktion vereint hohe Steifigkeit mit herausragender Haptik.
Tonarm
Der Tonarm besteht aus leichtem, kaltgezogenem Magnesium für hohe Präzision. Dank der kardanische Aufhängung von Technics und die hochpräzisen Lager wird eine hohe Empfindlichkeit bei der Anfangsbewegung erreicht.
