Please read the following instructions carefully for your own safety before attempting to connect the unit to the mains power. Following these notes will also ensure best performance and an extended service life of the unit:
- Read these instructions.
- Keep these instructions.

- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use the unit near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Install the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other devices that produce heat (including amplifiers).
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the unit.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the unit. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/unit combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the unit has been damaged in any way, such as a damaged power supply cord or plug, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the unit, the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Do not place the unit in a confined space. If you wish to place the unit in a shelf, use the top shelf to ensure best possible ventilation. Do not place objects on the unit. The unit must not be placed on a carpet or any soft surface, and the ventilation openings must always be kept clear. Do not cover the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. The unit must not be operated near water or exposed to dripping or splashing. No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the unit.
- There is a risk of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Do not expose the battery (installed battery pack or batteries) to excessive heat such as sunshine or fire.
- The unit must be installed so that the mains plug can be removed from the wall socket (or rear power distribution unit) at any time. If the plug is used as the disconnect device, it must remain readily operable.
- Please refer to the markings on the rear panel for electrical information and safety instructions before installing or operating the unit.
- Use only the supplied mains lead.
Use of the unit in tropical climates (the unit should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45 °C).
This unit is of Class I construction and must be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective earth connection.
WEEE SYMBOL
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is the EU symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This product contains electrical and electronic components that should be reused or recycled and must not be disposed of with household waste. Please return the unit to your dealer or ask them for further information.

This product, when properly installed in accordance with this manual, complies with the European Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU), and the Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC). To maintain compliance, only Cambridge Audio accessories should be used with this product, and servicing must be carried out by qualified personnel.

VENTILATION
IMPORTANT – The unit will become warm during operation. Do not place objects on the unit. Do not install in closed compartments of bookcases, cabinets, or similar without adequate ventilation.
Ensure that no objects fall through the ventilation slots. If this occurs, switch off the unit immediately, disconnect from the mains, and consult your dealer.
Please ensure adequate ventilation (at least 20 cm on all sides). Do not place objects on the unit. The unit must not be placed on a carpet or any soft surface, and the ventilation openings must always be kept clear. Do not cover the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
PLACEMENT
Select the location carefully. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not place open flame sources, such as lit candles, on the unit. Avoid locations subject to vibration, excessive dust, cold, or moisture. This unit is intended for use in temperate climates.
The unit must be placed on a solid, level surface. Do not place in built-in compartments of bookcases, cabinets, or similar. The unit must not be placed on uneven surfaces or shelves, as it could fall and cause serious injury to children or adults, and damage the unit. Do not place objects on the unit.
Because of stray magnetic fields, cathode-ray tube (CRT) televisions should not be located near the unit due to possible interference.
Electronic audio components require a running-in period of about one week (with several hours of daily operation). During this time, the new components adjust and sound quality improves.
POWER SOURCES
This product should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on the rating label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
The unit may remain in standby mode with less than 0.5 W power consumption when not in use. If not used for a longer period, disconnect the unit from the mains by unplugging it.
OVERLOAD
Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles, as this may result in a risk of fire or electric shock. Overloaded outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, damaged or cracked insulation, and broken plugs are dangerous and can result in electric shock or fire.
Ensure all power cords are correctly plugged in. Do not bundle the power cord with signal cables or speaker cables to avoid hum and interference.
CLEANING
Clean the unit by wiping the case with a damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use cleaning fluids containing alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives. Do not use aerosol sprays near or on the unit.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
Please dispose of used batteries in accordance with local environmental regulations for electronic waste.
SERVICING
This unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or reassemble the unit if there is a problem. Failure to observe this precaution may result in electric shock. Contact your dealer in case of problems.
RF EXPOSURE STATEMENT
This unit complies with FCC RF exposure guidelines. The unit should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body. Only the supplied antenna should be used.
