1. Read the Instructions - Read all safety and operating instructions carefully before using the device.

3. Follow the Warnings - Follow all warnings on the device and in the user manual.

5. Cleaning - Unplug the device before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays. Clean only with a dry cloth.
6. Connections - Do not use connections not recommended by the manufacturer, as they may cause hazards.
7. Water and Moisture - Do not use this device near water, such as near a bathtub, sink, laundry tub, in a damp basement, or near a swimming pool.
8. Accessories - Do not place this device on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The device may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the device. Use only carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the device. Any mounting should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and should use mounting accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
9. If the device is placed on a cart, move it carefully. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the cart to tip over.
10. Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the device and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. The device should never be placed on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. It should not be placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided and the manufacturer’s instructions are followed.
11. Power Supply - This device must be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are unsure of your home's power supply, consult your dealer or local power company. The first step to disconnect the amplifier from the power supply is unplugging the power cord from the outlet. Ensure that the power plug is always accessible. If the device will not be used for several months, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
12. This device is equipped with a polarized AC plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit into an outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you cannot fully insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If it still does not fit, contact an electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
13. Power Cord Protection - Arrange the power cord so it will not be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against it. Pay particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and where they exit the device.
14. Grounding of Outdoor Antenna - If an outdoor antenna or cable system is connected to the device, ensure that the antenna or cable system is properly grounded to provide some protection against voltage surges and static charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information on proper grounding of the antenna mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode.
    NOTICE FOR CABLE TV INSTALLERS
    This reminder is to call cable TV system installers’ attention to Section 820-40 of the NEC, which provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground should be connected to the building’s grounding system as close to the point of cable entry as practical.
15. Lightning - For additional protection during thunderstorms or when the device is left unattended for an extended period, unplug the power cord from the socket and disconnect the antenna or cable. This will protect the device from lightning or power surge damage.
16. High Voltage Lines - An outdoor antenna should not be installed near high-voltage power lines or other electrical circuits, or where it may fall onto such power lines. Extreme care must be taken when installing an outdoor antenna to avoid touching high-voltage power lines, as contact can be fatal.
17. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or multiple socket strips, as this may result in electric shock or fire.
18. Entry of Foreign Objects and Liquids - Do not insert foreign objects through the device's ventilation openings. They could touch parts carrying dangerous voltages or cause a short circuit, which may result in fire or electric shock. Do not spill liquids of any kind on the device.
    

    CAUTION: THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE EXPOSED TO DRIPPING OR SPLASHING LIQUIDS, AND LIQUID-FILLED OBJECTS SUCH AS VASES MUST NOT BE PLACED ON THE DEVICE. AS WITH ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES, ENSURE THAT NO LIQUIDS ARE SPILLED ON ANY PARTS OF THE DEVICE. LIQUIDS CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS AND/OR FIRE HAZARDS.

19. Unplug the device - Unplug the power cord from the outlet and have qualified personnel service the device if:
    
    1. The power cord or plug is damaged.
    2. Liquid has been spilled into the device, or foreign objects have fallen inside.
    3. The device has been exposed to rain or water.
    4. The device does not operate normally even after following the operating instructions. Adjust only controls that are described in the operating instructions. Incorrect adjustment of other controls may cause damage and will often require extensive servicing by a qualified technician to restore the device to normal operation.
    5. The device has been dropped or damaged in any way.
    6. The device exhibits a significant change in performance, indicating the need for servicing.
20. Replacement Parts - When replacement parts are required, ensure that the technician uses original replacement parts from the manufacturer or parts with the same characteristics as the original. Unauthorized replacements may cause fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
21. Safety Check - After servicing or repairs, ask the technician to perform a safety check to confirm that the device is in proper operating condition.
22. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The device should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer.

24. Headphones - Excessive sound pressure from earphones or headphones can cause hearing loss.
25. Battery Disposal - When disposing of used batteries, follow applicable regulations and local disposal guidelines. Batteries (standard or rechargeable) must not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire, or similar.
