nuPro XS-3000 RC

I ordered the speakers as reference speakers for video and audio editing. The neutrality in the playback naturally benefits this purpose. I use them both via USB-C and Bluetooth and both run with my Mac absolutely lip-sync with the video. From there, they fulfill their purpose as I imagined. In the breaks or when it goes into the end of the day, they turn my (acoustically optimized) 16m2 office into a HiFi studio! I am always amazed by the clarity of the reproduction from bass to treble. When placed close to the wall, they tend to be a bit obtrusive at higher levels, which means: in my opinion, you should leave them 30cm of space. In our living room, the NuVero 110 play together with the AmpX, so I'm already quite spoiled. Nevertheless, I don't have the feeling that I miss anything with the X-3000 in the office. Not to mention the connectivity. These are really great speakers! Only Airplay 2 would be nice. Then I would add a sixth star here.

Ordered on Wednesday and already received on Thursday. Delivery super. Packaging optimal and safe. Unpacking alone has already made joy. After connecting and connecting to the nuxinema, came the first extensive listening to music via AppleTV. I was overwhelmed by the reproduction in terms of bass, as well as transparency and clarity in the treble. For such a small speaker, I had not expected such a balanced music playback. Simply top and I'm already looking forward to the 8000s.

One thing first; with me run the XS 3000 RC as a surround LSP. The processing of the LSP is Nubert-typical TOP! The X-Connect wireless system works perfectly, without noticeable latency or any interruptions (as I had to read in others) . The X-Room Calibration also does a very good job and the sound of the small XS is really surprisingly voluminous and clean! Top! A very clear buy recommendation!

Use the speakers together with a NuSub XW 900 and can only say it's really amazing how good it sounds. I had previously used another price-performance tip from Germany, the Syrincs M3-220 for over 10 years (new price then between 400 and 500€, no longer available) and already knew that I like more neutrally tuned speakers. The Syrincs were nice, but are tuned a bit darker than the Nuberts, have a tweeter horn, instead of a dome and much less power, which makes it faster times what is swallowed in the high frequency. The XS 3000 really resolve insanely fine and swallow nothing at all. The XW 900 also pushes hard in the lower range and goes down very very low. I have never heard such a powerful sub in an apartment. The room correction does its job okay, but intervenes rather subtly. I have since made a little more effort and corrected the room modes with a parametric EQ on the PC, which was again really worthwhile. The measurement for room correction already gives some information about where the modes are and then you can optimize it pretty easy with the free Apo Equalizer and a few test tones or frequency sweeps. After that, the bass has also become amazingly precise and low droning. Run times are pretty perfect, the power of individual tones and instruments is authentically reproduced and the volumes that can be reached border on bodily harm. Electronic music is actually always spot-on, as long as the production is good. For music with more use of voices like rock, metal and American rap, depending on the quality of the mix, it may be worth thickening the sound a bit with the 240 Hz band of the EQ and readjusting it with the Mid-High control if too much detail is lost. For example, Metallica's Ride the Lightning is very thinly mixed as an album, but can be brought to life with + 3 db in the 240 Hz band and + 1 to 1.5 db on the Mid-High control. With rap (e.g. Eminem), on the other hand, a 240 Hz boost of 1 db with possibly 0.5 db mid-high boost is enough to make the voice sound more organic and bring it to the foreground. However, many bands and artists are mixed in such a way that there is no need to mess around with the EQ. Without the sub, it's sometimes a good idea to use the loudness function. Home theater is also great, although less my focus. For example, when a door slams, it sounds almost as real as if it really happened in my room. It doesn't sound like the sound is coming from a speaker. Again, you can sometimes make voices sound more natural with a slight boost at 240 Hz, but again it depends on the production. Knowing the aforementioned tricks, I wouldn't know what to improve about the system sonically in my room.
